Wet Weather

The Weather App did get the forecast right. It has been a very wet two days.

Yesterday, Jane, Harry and I headed west in the rain to visit friends in Columbia Missouri. It was a miserable day, but Harry brought his support dog, Weedy, who guided us through the deluge with calm confidence, and proceeded to spread sweetness and light to everyone he met in Columbia.

Here are a few bird pictures, since there was no photography during all the rain yesterday.

The horses are unhappy at being locked back in the paddocks, but they keep fit romping around.

Forsythia bushes along the east woods are blooming, despite the miserable weather.

Marmalade complains about the rain, while Roscoe and Tom Morris stay inside.

I walked down for a look at the ring, which Jane had worked before the rain. It’s wet.

No matter how gray and damp the day, Spring progresses with new beauty every day. The plum tree is beginning to bloom.

Be safe, be well, stay dry. Slava Ukraini. Peace.

  1. I recognized the titmouse and the chickadee, yeh! I had no idea the Downey is a little guy next to the larger red bellied woodpecker. Ah, so much to learn! The Cardinals, or cardinal, were doing acrobatics, posing, and the last one looks as though he is ready for a ballet. The Blue Bird’s beauty does not speak to his somewhat nasty life style, shall we say? Boy, you are wet in MO! I would feel the same as Marmalade. Looks as though the horses enjoy themselves no matter the weather. I say, we take after them!
