It was a good morning, starting with another turtle view, second day in a row. This one was behind the studio. I saw very few turtles last year, so I have been worried about their decline. This was reassuring – and Jane saw one on Macs Cove, too! Soon thereafter, I saw a toad in the front garden. Rain in the night made these creatures very happy, and the horses enjoyed it, too.
It was another day of finding cats in front of the camera as I went about my many odd jobs. Roscoe came to the barn and took a nap on the bedding stack, reliving his youth as a barn cat. Later, he napped on the porch. Roscoe does not exert himself much on warm days.

In the garden, the red azalea is blooming, and the lilac trees are about to burst into bloom, already beautiful.
In the woods, I saw this very toxic looking fungus, bright as a flower. So far, I have picked off five ticks that I acquired in my brief travels through the trees.
Harry played morning golf. Mistletoe was ecstatic at his return. I was pretty happy, too.
In the studio, Mater Admirabilis is finished, in clay, except for the final cleanup. Magnificent drapery.
I seem to have lost my touch with bird pictures lately. I tried to get a bluebird, to no avail. Missed a perfect hawk shot. And still no hummingbird. But the blue jay gave me some satisfaction.
Finally, Weedy’s opprobrium is fading, but he is still contrite.
Contemplating his sins
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Thanks for adding a new word to my vocabulary! (Should I give the credit to Weedy?)
I just looked up opprobrium, you are not alone! And I have a MA in English!
