The weekend has zipped past, feeling hectic, but without a lot to relate.
I couldn’t blog last night, because Roscoe forbade me to open the computer.
Jane and I rode Derry and Bart as the weather warmed quickly. For a change, Bart set the example as “old lady horse” of the day. He had hit his head and had a nasty scrape, so maybe that knocked sense into him. I had to remove the browband from the bridle because of the ouchy, but it didn’t seem to bother him.
OUCH!!!!! Late November trail riding
It was such a beautiful day that Harry and I went out on Stone and Oisin. Oisin was not an exemplary “old lady horse”, but we did have fun.
Oisin leads the way Harry and Stone
After a less than strenuous ride, Oisin made quite a show of rolling. We did have some rain, enough to get the horses dirty, but it has already dried to dust, as Oisin showed when he shook after rolling…

Marianne was here to do barn work. The picture is not very clear, but it shows her wonderful smile, and suggests how we only glimpse her as she comes and goes, almost insubstantial, though the help she gives us is very substantial.
No sooner had we finished riding than Marilyn rode by on Trigger, with Roy. We had a nice visit.

This morning, Marmalade did some morning yoga, then cats convened for breakfast in the tack room.
Rosie, Marmalade, and Tom Morris
Later, Tom Morris, who likes to go out at night, caught up on his beauty sleep. And in the house, Cedar took the opportunity to nap on the empty bed.
We are very happy to have our niece, Rachael, visiting for a couple of days. She is a firefighter out west and rappels out of helicopters, so she may die of boredom here! But we are excited to spend time with her and to hear of her adventures.
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Rapple is a new word for me; I love new words! Great shot of the dust flying off the best roller ever, Oisin. Look at Harry on Stone, talk about trust, sitting relaxed, lose rein, total trust. Roscoe on your computer, clearly showing you how to relax. And, Marmalade’s yoga, inspirational cats you have there! Thank you Anne.
Heidi walked by while I was looking at the Sunday pictures on my IPad, saw the picture of Harry on horseback and asked if that a recent picture of Harry? To which I said yes and she replied he looks great! Course she hasn’t seen all the usual pictures of sleepy Harry.
