Autumn is coming on quickly as drought conditions have returned.
This morning was foggy, but the day turned warm and humid. What we need is rain.
Fred came to. shoe the horses, a few days earlier than usual, because Fred’s schedule is complicated. We would rather reset shoes a little early than let feet get too long and risk losing shoes. We feel very fortunate to have Fred as a farrier, since we are just a small operation. Our recent success at the Charity horse show could not have happened without Fred’s good shoeing.
Rebecca stopped by with eggs and a bouquet of flowers. We had a quick visit, always a lot of fun.
This afternoon, I had a visit from Franny, the friendly box turtle. She was out by the stream, and I ran to get her some grapes, which she enjoyed.
In the studio, Harry has just about finished his current project. He is now commuting to Chesterfield Mall to work on another project. Soon, I will try to get over there for some pictures.
The birds are fewer lately. They appreciate water more than food.
Flowers, too, are nearing the end, as beauty berries take on color.
I spent some time on the phone Tuesday, out on the porch. I took pictures of orange cats, and Harry took a picture of me.
Weedy misses his pack, and he really misses Harry when Harry commutes to work at Chesterfield Mall. I took him to the barn today, but he was not happy with the banging of the hammer, so he went back to wait for Harry in the house.
Be safe, be well. Slava Ukraini! Peace.
Go Harry Go!
I love that you have a turtle friend. You and Jane and Derry look so fine.
Hugs for Weedy, Rain for the earth.
Slava Ukraini
Peace
The turtle is lovely. Such fun to see it appreciate the grapes.
