Monday

It has been a hectic day of catching up on things neglected during the two weeks of horse shows.

Bart had no interest in being brought in this morning. He just couldn’t face another trip to the horse show. Imagine his delight to learn it was a day of rest! I did have to go out to the field and drag him in, though. The horses were very suspicious of the mats we had used at the horse show drying on the grass outside the barn. Luckily, I did not lose Bart when he saw them, but it was a near thing.

Alison Hartwell, the very talented horse show photographer, took so many great pictures, it was difficult to choose, but here are some…

Bart jumping in his usual impeccable form
Derry in the jump off on her way to a win.
Susan congratulates Bart, “her horse” – she raised him 17 years ago – he loves her still
Jane congratulates her horse! Kris in the background
Pam has loved horses all her life and Derry and Bart are best beloved of all
Most of our happy family (Roscoe couldn’t make it)
Loot!

And now for some rest and sleep…

Be safe, be well. Slava Ukraini! Peace.

  1. So cool to relive these joyful memories through your and Alison’s photos. I think I can read Bart’s mind as he watches you approach him in the pasture this morning!
Repose-toi bien et longtemps, ma chère Anne.

  2. Your glorious smiles tell the tale. I love your coat! Congratulations again my friends.

  3. It was so wonderful seeing you, Henry and Jane! Wish I could have stayed Sunday to watch you ride and win. The pictures are fabulous!

  4. LOL I reread my comments and realized I wrote Henry instead of Harry….I’m not sure how that happened…advanced age?
