The horses were quite frisky this morning, even though the weather was not all that cool. I guess they can feel autumn has arrived, anyway.
Once the saddle was on, though, Bart lost all energy and resigned himself to his fate.
Jane and I went for a long trail ride and then a short session on the ring. I jumped a little bit, including the silly jump, which was not a big deal. Bart was delightful.
Tom Morris loves having his picture taken. He has no shame. The cats are a favorite subject, since they are often lounging around. I cannot describe the wonderful pictures I see and miss, because the subjects move too quickly for me. Not so, the cats.

After our ride, I went over to Jane’s house to cut her hair! Yes, Jane is a brave woman. All she wanted was the lower part of the back trimmed, which I did. Of course, I documented it, but only the “after” – I stupidly did not take a “before” picture. At any rate, Jane was satisfied.
My second Covid haircut customer!
While at Jane’s house, I snapped a picture of Clover, cutest dog on the planet.
And Jane’s cat, Dennis, who was lounging on her deck. And who outweighs Clover, I bet!
Later in the afternoon, Weedy went for an adventure, and returned tired but happy.
I had a long talk with our good friend, Sue, who is having a big birthday tomorrow. I hate this pandemic for preventing us from getting together. I don’t have any current pictures of Sue, but I do have many wonderful memories of our times together over the years. We laughed a lot today, even when subjects were sometimes serious. Here are a few snapshots from the past.

Marianne arrived to help with barn chores, bringing her usual exuberance, which is always uplifting.
Harry and I painted the “new” tack room door that was installed in January, I think. It was too cold to paint it then, and the forecast is for a chilly week ahead, so this weekend is the last chance to paint it. Procrastination in the extreme. First coat today, and we will finish tomorrow, I hope.

Stay safe, stay well, don’t procrastinate.
Hahahaha what on earth would we do if not procrastinate?
Peace, love, and hugs
Our timelines are shortening, which is making me feel the need to stop some of my procrastinations. Or, as I have on the front of my calendar “Never put off until tomorrow what you can straight up cancel.” More of that happening everywhere! Haha!
I witnessed your first haicut many years ago! Jane’s was equally successful.
Haha! I know what you are referring to, Deb. First of all, it was your idea, and it was my first ATTEMPT at a haircut, not very successful!
oh you are a beastly stylist! I think you missed your calling!
I’m impressed with your blue tape on the door, I’m sure it came out splendidly. Jane’s trim looks stylish and even which is hard when dealing with curly hair. Cats, birds, dogs, and equine, never tire of looking at any of them. Thank you for the blog.
