After a very dry, but beautiful Autumn, we are getting the promised rain, and plenty of it. Harry and Weedy have accompanied me to Starbucks for WiFi. Photos are a big part of my “blogging”, but I may have to gravitate toward fewer pictures and more words if I decide to blog from home.
The big news is that Harry is fully recovered from his hernia surgery and back in the saddle.
Mark, Cynthia, and Kota left on Saturday morning. Naturally, more photos were taken.
The last couple of days have been so windy, we decided to let the horses rest. They enjoyed the warm temperatures and the holiday.
Yesterday, I had the camera with me as I walked to the barn.
Cedar is slowing down – every day with her is a gift. Kota had a toy with him when they visited, and our dogs noticed that I had cleared away their beloved toys. Nettie wore us out trading toys for treats, so I put a stop to it. Cedar was delighted to see her tiger toy again, and kept it close. Nettie, of course, took to trading immediately!
There are deer everywhere. The pasture often contains more deer than horses! But they are very picturesque.
I came across a less frequently seen creature the other day – equally beautiful, but maybe not for everyone!
As our friend Susie says, “you’re never more than two weeks from a drought”, and that has certainly proven true this season.
Rain through the night made for perfect sleeping weather, and happy plants, though it’s a difficult day for Harlan. Luckily, he takes every day as it comes, and is always fun to see.
And so it goes…
Be safe, be well. Slava Ukraini! Peace.
The spider, who looks like a tarantula, has a very distinguished face, am I seeing correctly? Wow! So, Starbucks it is for your internet, my goodness, crazy. So happy to see Harry in the saddle again. Some horsemen just can’t stop, and why should they? Send that rain our way. We’re bone dry here in KY. Happy horses, Happy days! And, happy dogs, and happy cats, even happy deer!
I enjoy the pictures of all the variety of animals it makes me smile🤗.
Weedy is surely the Best Dog ever.
So happy to hear that Harry has recovered from that adventure. Cedar is a lucky girl to be living her life with you, as are all of your four-footed friends. Can’t imagine life without them.
Slava Ukraini.
Peace
