Well, it was wet, as promised, but more importantly, temperatures were above freezing. We arose at 4 AM (not having slept much, anyway), fed the dogs, and gave the horses some extra hay. Off we went to Mercy Hospital in Washington (Missouri), arriving way early for our 6:25 / 6:40 AM appointments. We checked in, and were standing in line, when I realized I had left my purse in the car. Catastrophe! Off I dashed, out into the pouring rain, then back to a much longer line. The hamsters in my head were running at top speed. But all went smoothly after that, and soon enough, I joined Harry in the “recovery” room, where we had to wait for 15 minutes to make sure we didn’t have a reaction to the vaccine. Then we treated ourselves to breakfast at St. Louis Bread Company – which is to say, we went through the drive through and ate in the car. It was a good morning, and we are most fortunate. Also, we have tickets for a second jab on February 13, Pfizer having shortened the interval by three days, as of last week.
We returned to some wet birds.
The pasture was under water, so the horses were confined to the paddocks, but they didn’t mind.
Harry worked hard on a proposal for a sculpture, doing drawings. Roscoe advised.
A break in the rain brought some bird pictures.

The horses came in a bit early, it was such a miserable, wet day. They all tucked into hay – slow feed haynets will be hung at night check.

Finally, Harry and Nettie in the studio at the end of the day.
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Missed your blogs the last few days. Wonderful to have you back.
Anne I missed your blogs for the past few day. Wonderful to have you back.
Soggy here too, but clearing today. Lucky you! We do not have access to the vaccines at least for the “general public.” Seems KY has run out. Or, Rand Paul might be declaring too much government interference and KY doesn’t need all this government, particularly our new Socialist government. Ha ha ha ha ha ahaahahahahhahahahha
Congrats on the vax! So early in the morning, good for you early risers..
lovely red birds.. wish we had red birds!
