For a day that has little news, I am so tired I can hardly blog!

One very nice part of the day is riding, of course, though now I am somewhat conflicted, as people say we should take care so as not to need healthcare in this time of crisis. But the logical part of my mind knows it’s highly unlikely that I will fall off. Naturally, Bart decided to make me wonder about that, almost spinning me off at the walk! He was upset at the neighbor, working on his land adjoining the ring, and that made him super spooky. Bad boy, Bart! We ignored physical distancing rules, and took this picture of a cool cloud. Bart is suggesting to Derry that it might be fun to misbehave…

I did venture out to the store this morning. That was an extremely stressful adventure. The rules change a bit from week to week. Hand washing was mandated to enter the store today. There was a hand washing station at the entrance. I wore a mask and bandana, but no gloves. There is debate on the gloves. I took them with me, but shopped without wearing them. On my list, two items were unavailable – crunchy peanut butter and ramen noodles.

I took some time on this very warm day to take flower pictures. There were plenty of more important chores that I should have been doing, but it was too hot!

Roscoe accompanied me on my flower assignment. He has recovered his sense of adventure. Again, he wishes it known that the camera adds pounds!

Harry worked in the studio. He didn’t wear the brace today at all! I do notice that I need to trim his hair a little bit more!

A few cat pictures…

The only problem we had today was that Cedar, that dreadful trash hound, got a chicken carcass out of the trash and managed to wedge a bone into the roof of her mouth. It was a crisis, and Harry had to call Jane to come and help, but miraculously, I was able to extricate the bone by myself. Cedar is disgraced, and we hope she will not end up in some sort of real distress in a day or two. Such a bad dog!

Cedar is sorry

End of another day. I listened to too many podcasts today about coronavirus, and I am overwhelmed. Off to bed to recharge. Stay well, stay home, and stay positive.

  1. The redbuds! I miss those. What does Harry listen to? Tell Roscoe he is is good company. Tink is jealous of Cedar—a whole chicken!—She gets in trouble for eating worms off of the road/sidewalk/parking lot after a rain. BFF is a pulchritudinous place 🙂

    1. A woody word, pulchritudinous! Love it!
Yes, the redbuds are glorious this week. Harry is currently listening to a Louise Penny novel on Audible. Her Gamache series is wonderful. I am very jealous, since I have binged my way through all of them and must wait for the next one in September. Harry has savored them more slowly.
My mental health would benefit from going to Three Pines (the novel’s fictitious Canadian village) instead of listening to podcasts like Corona Virus Daily!

Just need to cut the sides of Harry’s hair. Love Weedy, Cedar and Roscoe Boss
