As predicted, we had a freeze last night. Bird baths, and even the water trough were iced over. Northern Missouri had it much worse than we did, so I am not complaining, but this is some crazy weather.
The horses were wild again.
Romping on frosty fields
Later, it warmed up, and they settled down.
Now that we and our friends are vaccinated, life is returning to normal (sort of). Jane and I had lunch at St. Louis Bread Company today with Louise and Pam, after their lessons at Griffin. We celebrated Pam’s birthday and had a wonderful time. I took pictures of Louise and Pam as we were leaving, and forgot to take one of Jane. But you can see from Pam’s picture, there were many laughs. I thought black and white was nice for a change.

Where was Harry, you wonder? Well, he had to have a dental procedure this morning, an implant. It’s all part of an ordeal he has been enduring for over a year now, but with any luck it will be completed by Thanksgiving. When I came home, I found him getting world class care from Weedy, who is an expert at comfort.
Harry is under the dog and the blanket
Today’s bird picture is the red bellied woodpecker. You can really see from this where he got his name.
Finally, Nature bounces back. The pink dogwood blossoms are undeterred by yesterday’s snow. They continue to declare that Spring really is here.
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Oh gosh Harry be well soon.
Love the pink Dogwood.
Peace
Harry and his two year implant, my goodness another marvel of US health care. Sneer. Sorry folks, between the ubiquitous bad food not only making the US citizens sick it also make the rest of world sick, and our tunnel vision health care it is an astonishing fait accompli that some of us live so long! Ah yes, our surprise snow in April, certainly added story line to the Kentucky Land Rover CCI5*-L being held this weekend. Anne, your lucky horses are having a ball! And, Weedy, what a comfort to Harry. So many loved non-humans at Bronze Fox Farm!
