Another hectic day, with various errands accomplished, and again a dreary autumnal day. I love weather like this. It’s very English. The horses love it, too.
The dogs, as usual, had many treats today. They were denied the pleasure of our company for a few hours, so we had to make it up to them.

There was rain off and on. With heavy showers, the horses run to the shed. Then, when the rain slackens, they come out and spar before heading back out to graze.
The birds are feeding heavily again. They are fattening up for cold weather, as am I.
In the barn this evening, all was peaceful. It’s hard to believe these saintly faces can look so vicious when they are playing and sparring in the field.
Out in Montana, Nancy sent pictures of nap time with Rainy and her mother, Gracie, and best friend, Honey. They have had a lot of rain there. We had over an inch here, to my delight.

Speaking of adorable creatures napping…
Finally, out west in Montana the trees are in full color and the mountains are draped in snow.
Stay safe, stay well, cherish this incredible planet.
