A beautiful day followed the welcome rain yesterday. I came out of the house this morning to sun shining on the vinca from our friends, Jonee and Bob, still blooming enthusiastically in the amaryllis pot.
Tuesday, of course, is Trash Day, and it was good to see Harlan, as we have missed him for the past three weeks. He always does a great job with the dumpster, thoroughly emptying it, and placing it properly for wheelbarrow dumping. These are skills many people might overlook, but they are greatly appreciated around here.
It was a busy day, with many odd jobs to do. Harry had a meeting in St. Louis county, so he ventured off across the river. No sooner had he left, than a load of bedding arrived with Scott from Straatmann. I helped unload, and got pretty tired by the end. Scott had to put up the top bales, as I began to feel like an old lady. Luckily, I was still able to write the check.

Jane and I rode this afternoon. The ring was perfect, just the right amount of rain had fallen, and thanks to the Weather Channel app, we had worked the footing before it was watered.
Bart does not look very enthusiastic! Derry and Jane are ready for action Turkey tracks on the pristine ring footing I am happier than Bart about this afternoon ride! (Thanks to Jane for the photo) On the trail Bart leads the way home
After riding, I gave Bart a much needed bath. He wasn’t clean for long.

Working in the woods, I came across this beautiful display of tiny shelf fungus.
Oisin watches for Susan, and Tom Morris hangs out nearby.
Harry came home, and I got this picture of him, looking right into the western sun, with a pineapple sage headdress.
And just to clarify, here is the pineapple sage in its pot.
There is beauty in abundance at this time of year, as the beauty berry reminds us.
Stay safe, stay well. Appreciate the world. Peace.
Everyone and everything looks terrific. Keep on, keeping on.
Good to see Harry looking so chipper.
Really enjoying your blog. Beauty berry is wonderful, I’m sure you all provide lots of great winter habitat!
My favorite photos, I love you and Bart!!! The giant hug is so you! I suppose you would dislike it if I were to post it on FB. I only have horsey followers. Plus, no one would know who it is. I am so tempted because it is Thoroughbred Makeover week, and this photo fits right in!!! The other is the gorgeous photo of the Tiny Shelf Fungus. I would love this in my home!! A big one, all blown up! Harry looks good, of course, as usual. Love ya!!
Of course you can use any of the pictures, Jane! Thanks for your enthusiasm!
