It was hot and humid this morning. There was no way to take pictures of birds through the fogged up windows.
Later in the morning, I saw a bird that looked distinctly impaired. I wondered if it had hit the window. It was very hot, so I was debating trying to catch it and bring it into the basement where it’s cool, but it suddenly flew away. Whew! I think it was a female cowbird.
Jane and I did ride Derry and Bart this morning, but it was miserably hot and there were no pictures taken. I jumped Bart, and rode badly. Luckily for me, Bart has a real sense of humor and forgives my lapses. Between his talent and his temperament, I am incredibly lucky.
Mistletoe had a trip to town for a follow up nail trim. She is impossible for us, but quite polite for professional groomers, so she will have to visit them every four weeks for a pedicure.
In the car, and refusing to smile for the camera.
It was another day of rain showers and thunder off and on. We were very lucky to get the mowing done on Sunday. I took some pictures of the garden this afternoon.

When I went out to feed the shed cats (Licorice and Marmalade), there was a little fawn standing in the driveway. We looked at each other in wonderment. I know I curse the deer constantly, but this fawn was tiny and so beautiful! Of course, I didn’t have my camera, so I used my phone, but the baby was already moving off on a search for its mother.
“Have you seen my mother?” Shed cats
Also out and about in the waning day was a bunny. We don’t often see bunnies here, but the dogs are slowing down with age, so I think it’s becoming safer to hang around.
At the end of the day, Harry takes the elderly dogs out one last time.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
You are so humble and kind.
