It was a delightful, cool night. The horses would have been content to stay out late this morning, but they agreed to come in for breakfast and work. On my way to the barn, the pair of orange cats accompanied me. Inside the barn, the wood pee wee perched on the bale door.
For a change, I was ready before Jane arrived. Bart watched for his girlfriend, Derry, to appear.
Tuesday being trash day, Harlan arrived on schedule. Harry happened to have come out to the barn when Harlan pulled in. The artist and religious scholar in Harry both enjoyed the sign on the side of the Grace truck.

Errands were run, and Connie was here, hard at work on the stream, when we returned.

After Connie fixed the east side, she gave me some instructions to report to her on Thursday, and she will return next week to recheck the situation. Then I went to work on clearing the west side of the stream, which was exhausting, but gratifying.
The day warmed up, but was quite pleasant, and flowers and birds abound.

After my stream landscaping ordeal, it was time for barn work. The Crouchers were particularly picturesque. Cora is fat as ever, and Rosie is the queen of the barn.

Harry came to help turn the horses out on this beautiful evening.

The horses are a great deal of work, but I never get tired of seeing them happily grazing together. It is a privilege to live with so many fascinating creatures.
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
I love your chronicles. It’s a bit like reading The Corfu Trilogy, but better.
