At last, the rain has more or less stopped. This morning, I made a trip out to Rob’s Lawn and Garden, which is a place difficult to describe, and a lot of fun. They repair and sell mowers and chainsaws and other equipment, and they rent U-Hauls. It is like some sort of strange reality show setup, full of odd characters and lots of laughs. I went to trade in my old chainsaw chain for one that fits my new battery powered Stihl chainsaw (the best tool I have ever used). I also needed bar and chain oil. I also brought home a battery powered Stihl blower and a tiny battery powered Stihl chainsaw called a garden pruner, which will be very handy for trail clearing, once the big jobs are done.
On the way out, I saw this handsome guy.
As soon as I got home, Harry and I went to Conway Road for lunch with Peter. No pictures allowed of Peter himself, but he looks like a marathon runner. Whereas most of us have gained some weight during the pandemic, Peter took up running and looks like he is ready to go to Tokyo for the Olympics. I did get a picture of the beautiful hedging that he does.
After delicious Chinese food, and lots of laughs, we came home and I got to work with Jane, who had been working all day clearing trails in the woods. I could not believe how much she had done. Working together, we managed to clear the middle trail enough that we can now ride through all the trails in those woods, once things dry out a bit.

Back in the studio, Harry has fashioned a support for the left arm and glove.
Serious sculptor There’s the smile
Tuesday, of course, is trash day. Harlan comes to empty the dumpster. We weren’t here, but Jane got the scoop. Harlan was NOT the driver of the Grace trash truck that crashed on I-70 last week. We are so relieved! Jane did a great job of getting the information for my inquiring mind, in addition to her Olympic caliber trail work.
The horses enjoyed another day off, but tomorrow morning vacation is over.
Cleared enough for horses to get through
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Harry has a handsome smile.
Jane is a hero! Wow, what a mess, good work!
Harry does indeed have a handsome smile.
Peace
