Well, today was uncommonly chilly to start, with ice in the birdbath and frost on the cars and the pasture! Nancy and Steve brought Montana weather with them. Luckily, the animals, and the plants seem to have weathered the unseasonal cold without damage.
After a delicious breakfast courtesy of Chef Harry, who fixed Rebecca’s beautiful eggs perfectly, Nancy and Steve headed southeast to Tennessee. They will be returning next week on their way back to Montana.
Squirrel Nutkin also joined us for breakfast
A quick recap of yesterday. The day started in the studio, finishing the hanging of pictures on walls at long last. Nancy and Steve helped with that.

Harry went to play golf, and Nancy and Steve and I drove to Augusta for lunch. It was glorious weather and a spectacular view from Montelle Winery. I was disturbed by the rapidly advancing commercialization of that once charming town, but there is not much to be done about progress. I fear I am becoming an old grouch.
We returned, and tacked up to ride. All three horses were pressed into service (along with Derry, of course). Stone’s tummy is looking great already, and he is back under tack.

Nancy gave us three hilarious little horses for the garden. They gallop with the wind. Roscoe approves.
Mistletoe was happy to be reunited with Harry, as always.
Nancy enjoyed meeting Marianne, as we wandered over to visit Jane.

Steve took it easy on the porch with Harry.
And finally, today, Harry got a haircut and Oisin had to start wearing his fly sheet because he is beginning to itch. Last year he rubbed out much of his mane, so I am trying to stay ahead of the problem.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Hahahaha Oisin you poor thing. Looks like a lot of fun. Marvelous capture of wild Harry and Mistletoe.
Peace
