The starlings slept in this morning, so the other birds celebrated their absence.
I saw a mockingbird fluffing and waving his wings in the tree outside the mud room as rain started, but as soon as I raised the camera, he flew off.
The horses ignored the wet weather.
Licorice is very happy that she lives in the shed atop the haystack, where she can watch the rain in comfort.
The big news was that Harry’s sculpture moved out today. Vlad and Daniel arrived with a truck and went to work. I took pictures.
A hand had to be removed.
Ladies first…
Vlad and Misha and Daniel are extremely talented, and Harry would not be the sculptor he is without their masterful competence. They are also very strong! Especially Daniel, but Vlad is pretty impressive for an “old guy”.
Harry says goodbye to six months of work.
Daniel wanted to visit the horses, who were up in the paddocks. Bart, being the boss of the herd, got most of the attention. They each got a cookie, and we didn’t get run over, so it was a good day, but only Bart got a picture.
Once they were in the truck, Vlad and Daniel removed their masks – it was so good to see their faces!

The studio is almost empty now! Only one guy left, and he has no hands… yet!
At day’s end, the sun made a brief appearance, lighting up the east woods, as Marmalade and Licorice were ready for dinner’s arrival.
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
I hope you’re taking snow pictures so I can feel better about the snow , the muddy, soaking dog fur and my 6000 calorie day. And it is supposed to continue for four more days. I’m so bored.
