It’s staying dark later in the mornings. Weedy and the other dogs go out for a while, then return for a second sleep.
It turned into a beautiful day. The horses were content outside, but ready to come in for breakfast.

Like the garden, the birds are winding down toward autumn and winter.

A family of happy dogs today, looking forward to begging when food is served. Mistletoe stays out of the way in the hall, knowing that there is equity, and food will be taken to her wherever she is.

Protecting my knee, I opted to putter around the house and garden, and took some time to watch live streaming horse showing. It turned out I was quite sad to see the jumpers at the St. Louis National. The indoor action last night did not make me miss showing, but watching jumpers outside on a glorious day did make me long to return to the ring.
Not only the St. Louis show was live-streaming. There was also The American Gold Cup, 50th Anniversary class, held in Traverse City today with 50 entries, the best horses in the country. While St. Louis was pay to view with 9 entries and crapped out halfway through the class, the Gold Cup was free, and a superlative competition, with a very exciting jump off, won by Kent Farrington on the aptly named Gazelle. Sadly, here, Bravo had 4 faults, but I did get to see him go (he was the second horse in the class) and I grabbed a screen shot of him. Hunter won the Grand Prix on her other horse, Ciao Bella, but that we did not get to see.

It’s not a very exciting blog today, but we are counting our blessings and looking forward to a beautiful week ahead. I am planning to be back on a horse soon.
Stay safe, stay well.
Your blogs are always exciting and very interesting. You are such a excellent writer Ann.
I agree with Woody! That Gazelle horse is amazing and with empathetic rider Kent Farrington, meaning he listens, well, it’s a Wow team! They won the 380,000$ Rolex last year, stupendous! You’re next up Anne!! I still love seeing tha picture of you in the Puissance! Would you post it again, please? Love to the doggies, and all creatures at Bronze Fox Farm.
Yes, I opted for the free viewing of the Gold Cup. Good Show! Looks like a peaceful day at BFF. Thanks fo sharing!
