The internet connection here has been making blogging difficult lately. Last night was particularly slow, so I was extra late going out to the barn to say goodnight to the horses. By the time I got back, Harry was sound asleep after a busy day and a late night.
This morning, Stone’s tail looked good and no bandage change was needed. The horses went out to enjoy the day.
The sun came out, and I lost track of time and was a little late getting over to Blue Heron for Louise’s second day of showing. Jane met me there. I made it in time to see the second class, and Jane had videoed what I missed. Louise and Annie looked great today, and they placed second and first in their two cross rail classes. A very good day indeed!
Great focus Much laughter
On the way home, along our driveway, I saw this character.
Today’s bird flavor – chickadee and cardinal.
Harry worked in the studio all afternoon while I puttered around the barn. I removed the blue masking tape from the painted tack room door, and managed to remove quite a lot of paint with it. I guess I need to learn how to actually paint a door. I forgot to take a picture of the ruined project, but will do so tomorrow.
Time for some dog pictures…
Mistletoe is always hard to see Weedy finds a sunbeam No room on the couch for people
Rebecca’s flowers continue to brighten our house.
As evening settles, Oisin is first at the gate for dinner.
Finally, Nancy sent some wonderful Rainy pictures from Montana. And while we were shivering in down coats this morning here, it was 85 degrees in Montana!
Might be a good day for a roll Ahh! Feels so good! Honey is a stout beauty Honey is not impressed with the rolling Rainy Upside down mule
Stay safe, stay well, enjoy the simple pleasure of a good roll.
Simple pleasures. Was Val Lowe’s farm called Simple Pleasures? Love that phrase. Days should be composed of one simple pleasure after another. Perspective is reality. Peace
Yes, Linda – Val’s place in Iowa was called Simple Pleasures.
I had a similar painting experience recently so I stopped removing tape halfway thru the job… found a razor edge… or sharp knife.. went around the edge of the tape with that before trying to remove it… SUCCESS… !
Only had one or two tiny spots to “fix” with an “artist’s” brush … looks nearly perfect now!!
