After a night of rain, the day was beautiful, but with a mighty wind. Horses and birds were blown about but didn’t mind at all.
The horses were happy to come in for dinner. They look forward to hay, now that the grass has stopped growing. Bart has requested a winter “dunking bucket”. He has a separate bucket by the manger to dunk his hay, so that he doesn’t mess up his drinking bucket.

The Crouchers were looking lovely this afternoon.
Twizzler Skittle
Cora washed up after eating dinner in the window of the tack room.
Back in the house, I found Harry chatting on the phone with John, accompanied by his constant companion, Weedy.
And here is Roscoe, my constant evening companion, along with Nettie.
Finally, out in Montana, Nancy sent some pictures of Rainy and Honey. One as sweet as her name, and the other a magnificent mule.
Stay safe, stay well.
Smart horse Bart! Love your wind-blown birds. Harry is looking dapper and the critters all look content. Except Rainy. What could be so bad about being a magnificent mule?
Wow! I’ve never heard of a horse dunking his food! I guess it’s kind of like me and a doughnut. Those Crouchers look as “snappy” as ever!
