Not a very exciting blog day. It was very windy, though sunny, and I did many chores, but also watched the Maclay Finals live stream from the National Horse Show in Kentucky. The horses here were content to graze in the sun.
The sky was perfectly blue. Here is the weather vane atop the barn indicating the wind direction via a bronze fox.
At the end of the day, the horses were already on standard time and ready to come in for dinner. A pair of deer wandered by. They will be shocked next Saturday, when deer season opens. It will be very noisy around here, I expect, and the dogs will not be happy with the gunfire.
Why does Bart always get to go in first? wonder Stone and Oisin Good luck next week!
Marmalade is getting tamer every day. He almost came into the tack room this morning, and he is allowing me to pet him regularly, as long as there is delicious food to eat.
Goodnight treats for the horses, end of another day.
Out in Montana, Rainy is enjoying the last few weeks of Gracie before weaning. At least she and Honey will have each other for company. Not sure Honey is thrilled about that!
Stay safe, stay well.
Basking in your sunlight! Michigan’s gray season has arrived.
Marmalade is very handsome!
Honey looks tolerant. Sweet pictures of the two of them. My poor niece up in the gray. But, both of you have Love to keep you warm and lit-up! Cold and sunny here, then a warm-up, Yippee! Happy horses, even though Bart is always first. Cute! Love is key to everything. Marmalade, how wonderful! You did it!
