Marmalade met Rosie on the path this morning. Rosie runs the cat population around here. She keeps all of them in line, and can be intimidating.
It was a big day for birds – many grosbeaks are coming through. At last, we have seen a hummingbird today, too, but no picture, alas.

The squirrel stopped by again today. But much more exciting, turtles! Jane saw one at her house, while she was on the way over to ride, and then we saw one near the ring while riding, and were able to record it.

Bart delayed our morning ride. Worse, once we were on, two stray dogs wandered by, and both Bart and Derry were unable to take their attention off the back field after that. Jane did a masterful job of schooling Derry around a course.

The afternoon ride went well. I got to jump both horses! Jane helped me immensely, and took pictures.
We went to the studio after riding to check on Mater and Harry.

The dogs enjoyed Jane’s visit. Weedy was outside, so I didn’t get his picture. He had a difficult day. On a nice, long adventure he found something extremely disgusting to roll in. He returned very pleased with his scent, but was promptly bathed, much to his dismay. Luckily, he had a trip in the car later as compensation.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Cedar’s eyes are very expressive, the softness in her eyes. All your dogs are enjoyable to see. Derry and Jane look natural together. They make jumping look easy, I imagine it isn’t. Love the folds in Mater’s skirt. Something else that looks easy.
