It was a windy, warm morning. I took some bird pictures, but the light wasn’t very good, with the change to daylight saving. After turning the horses out, I went to the ring to set some jumps for today’s jump schooling. I snapped two pictures on the way to the ring.
On the way back, I saw a tree with wonderful woodpecker evidence.
The southern view of the house is almost hidden by pine trees! There are daffodils popping up all over.
I didn’t have the camera organized, because, as usual, I was running late for the scheduled ride time with Jane. Also, I was chatting with Marianne, who helped make it possible for me to gallivant off to the ring while she did the work. It was so much fun jumping Bart and Derry that I failed to take pictures with my phone. We had a good session.
Then, Jane set jumps for me on Oisin AND she took pictures. I am so lucky!
I love that expressive tail!
Harry prepares the weekly medication containers. Mine are just vitamins, but thanks to Harry’s organizational skills I now actually take them for the first time in my life.
We had a real social outing this afternoon – a surprise birthday party for our friend, Louise, in the city. All guests were fully vaccinated, and it was surreal being in a group of maskless people. Louise found out about the party a few days ago, so she helped organize it, and it was wonderful. We enjoyed seeing friends, but being “country mice” we soon hurried home.
Finally, Stone’s tummy is more swollen today. He is not a very good patient, in that he hates the Sulfa tabs. I consulted Marilyn and am now putting warm compresses on the swelling. Thank goodness he tolerates that! It seems quite sore, but he is never mean, even when it hurts. Stone is such a good guy. He seems to feel fine, but it’s worrisome. Hoping for improvement tomorrow…
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Thinking of Stone and hoping for a speedier recovery.
Hope Stone’s belly is improving.
Anne you are so fortunate to be so talented and having such a wonderful husband and doing the things you love to do.
Hope the swelling is down considerably by now for Stone. How nice to socialize with your friends. I imagine Louise’s birthday this year looks much different from last year. Hope you, Harry, and the rest of the crew are well.
