There’s not much to say today. The horses were happily grazing in the pasture this morning, not bothered by bugs yet. Once they were in and settled in their stalls, I set off to check on our neighbor, who is much better today.
Home again, I took this picture in the front garden. The purple campanula flowers came from my mother thirty years ago. She gave them to me for my first efforts at gardening in Pike County. in 2003, some of them came here. Now they bloom around a sculpture by Harry’s friend, Dewey Dempsey, who studied with Henry Moore. Dewey was a member of the first graduating class at St. Louis Priory, a talented artist, and he died too young. We love his sculpture, which Dewey delivered to us in Pike County, and it, too, has followed us here.
