Sunday – January 17, 2021

Today is mostly bird pictures. There were a lot of blue jays which I enjoy, though some people think of them as bullies. They don’t strike me that way.

I also love mockingbirds, and today we had a visit from a mockingbird at the same time as one of my other favorites, a pileated woodpecker.

And of course, I am still obsessed with pileated flight pictures. Note the damage being done to the house by my beloved woodpeckers!

Back down on earth, the Pearl Brothers exhibit just why they need slow feed hay nets!

The big news today is that we secured Covid vaccination appointments for January 25th (and Jane has one, too, for the next day). We are very fortunate indeed.

We spent this evening on a call with friends John and Laura, laughing a lot, which we needed.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.

  1. Wow, I guess I took a longer break, haha. I’m all caught up now. Bird watching with you is really fun, thanks for sharing. Happy to hear Jane has new eyes and you all are scheduled for vaccinations woohoo! We live in an underserved rural county. Who knows when vaccinations will be available to us, sigh. We are in a white world now. Tink has a little shoveled walkway with a cul de sac at the end where we run races daily. Turtle races really.
    Wonderful to see everyone.
    Peace, L
