An early start this morning, as Jane and Eddy and I went to the NEC to watch some dressage. The rain is over, but it was COLD. Luckily, we were able to watch Brett and Crumlin, as they did back to back classes. Many competitors scratched because conditions this weekend have been terrible.
Crumlin is a horse that I love, and it was fun to see him with Brett, doing quite respectably. Lotta is Crumlin’s trainer, but she fractured her hand in a freak accident and had to have surgery, so she is sidelined. Chelsea is another dressage friend from Rocking Horse Ranch, where Crumlin is living. It’s fun to have friends in different disciplines of riding. Jane and I were so cold that we hurried home and missed Marianne’s rides on Liam.

The brownheaded cowbirds are disliked by some people, but I really enjoy them.

I spent the day preparing to leave. Tomorrow morning Harry and I will depart on a last minute trip. We are sad that we will be unable to see many friends, since this is sort of a business excursion. I am the wife of the artist, and also his assistant, so I am lucky to tag along! We will miss the animals, but they will be in Karen’s good hands, and Jane will visit, too.
I will not be blogging until we return on Friday, April 11. Until then, thanks for many kind words! I am honored that you enjoy this blog.
Be safe, be well, stay warm. Be kind and stay strong. Slava Ukraini! God Save America. Peace…
Oh no the last blog for a while. I have gotten spoiled by getting to see a blog on a daily basis. Sounds like you and Harry are on a secret mission since you didn’t say where you were going. Can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back. I’ll be showing a saddlebred Saturday night at the Bradlespur horse show. Ifyou’re not too tired from your trip when you get back on the 11th come to the show on the 12th. That is, if you wanna see horses of a totally different discipline! Let me know if you can come so I’ll be on the lookout for you. If not this time, there’s another show there next month. Have a wonderful time on your mysterious trip.
Please forgive misspelled words.I was dictating. Siri just doesn’t get my accent!
