The full moon was on the wane last night, but it was still stunning, shining through the east woods.
It was a cold night, so Tom Morris elected to stay in the tack room. He was raring to go this morning, and joined Marmalade in the shed for breakfast.

I didn’t take many pictures today. It was a sort of hectic day. No birds at all today, after I took almost 200 frames yesterday. Today I have pictures of good dogs sleeping.
Mistletoe is a pile of gray fur Nettie is alert, even when she is asleep Weedy sleeps as hard as he adventures Cedar is still happy to be off the streets
Jane arrived to ride, and, as usual, I was not quite ready.

We advanced through Linda Allen’s book of 101 Jumping Exercises to Exercises 3, 4, and 5 today. We are working on very simple things, but they are presenting enough difficulty that we are very happy to be using this structure. The horses were delightful, and soon mastered the questions, but we worked hard on an elementary pole on the ground assignment.

Next, I rode Stone, who was so filthy I had to take a picture of his shadow, to avoid being reprimanded for not cleaning him up. He was very good, and I gave him a bath so that I can take a picture of him tomorrow. I tied him up to dry – no joyful rolling in the mud today!
No picture of Harry today, either. He had a very busy morning, out and about, then spent the afternoon in the studio. His latest sculpture is getting close to an approval visit. Let’s finish with a historical picture of Harry riding Thomas Equinas in the Hunter Trials back in the latter twentieth century.
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Oh Thomas! Never a better picture of two extraordinarily kind souls.
I wish bettina could sign into your moon with moondust picture. I love the sense of distance given, too, from earTh to the moon. Some pictures seem so flattened. .If bettina really gets into photog, she needs you to critique.
Right now she has a bunch of contracts on her farm that, one at a time, have proven dishonest. and so she may have to go back and plANT PASTURE IN sALEM..
Great picture of Harry.
Love the classic photo of Harry. Marmalade and Tom Morris, darling! Loved the photo of Anne and Mistletoe yesterday. Still enjoying the blog. More about the Linda Allen exercises please, poll on the ground just doesn’t do it for me, hah hah 😊
