Today was another day of work, not much of which is blog worthy. Nathaniel and Allison came to work on the fence and did a great job, as usual. They were certainly blog worthy, but I didn’t get pictures of them!
The day started with contented cats and happy horses, as usual.
There were many doves on the back porch, as well as cardinals, of course, and a red bellied woodpecker.
The dove grips the pole… The dove slides down the pole! Social distancing birds That cardinal doesn’t look very healthy!
Ever since the cardinal climber began to bloom, I have been hoping to get a hummingbird picture. Now, I figured it was too late, the hummingbirds must be gone, but it turns out there is at least one late season hummingbird around! At last I was in the right place at the right time, with a camera handy. I managed not just one shot, but many. Here are four…
Harry worked hard in the studio, and did his exercises, and I didn’t get one good photo of him!
The autumn colors continue to dazzle. Here is a picture from the ring.
Stone’s bandage slipped a bit today, so I changed it. The surgical site looks great, and he is always very pleasant to handle. I had my phone in the house, charging, so no photo of that. But trust me, it looks great – one more week until suture removal.
Finally, an adorable picture of Roscoe to sleep on. He was outside all day helping me with chores and keeping all the other cats in line.
Stay safe, stay well, sweet dreams.
Wow, good job with the hummer pics! The red flowers are spectacular. Happy to se Marmalade settling in, his winter will be better for it. And good to see Roscoe getting some rest. Being in charge of the universe is exhausting work.
My thoughts exactly!
What great photos of the hummingbirds, and you thought it was too late. Marmalade looks like he is much more relaxed, well done! Your woods are so nice to walk through and see. So peaceful.
