We went to dinner with friends last night, good food, good laughs, and many unfinished conversations. Much to think about, but not a lot to blog about.
Two other friends have had surgery this week – hip replacement and ankle replacement – and they are in our thoughts as they recover.
Here, thankfully, we are all hale and hearty. I went over to Jane’s house to help move some new, heavy gates into the shed, and had a chance to snap a couple of pictures before leaving.

Dr. Jerry Roth & I had the same hometown of Ste. Genevieve. I did not know him growing up.
He treated Ross’s Kingfish horse (our farm is named Kingfish) for an injured suspensory ligament at Mizzou. I regret not knowing Ann but know she was extraordinary. I am always amazed at how our lives cross paths.
