Jane and I had hoped to show this weekend, but the forecast and the craziness of life here, caused us to decide against it on Thursday. As it turned out, we had only a little bit of rain today. Now, we are aiming to show in June. So it goes.
Well, I have planted all the trees, flowers and vegetables that I bought this week, so that is one accomplishment. It has been a great week for plants.
Harry set off this morning for golf, but that was also called off, when he was halfway to St. Louis. When he left, I did, too, making a trip to Lowe’s for some mulch and other supplies. On the way back, I stopped by Morrison Equestrian Center to see the updated facility and visit friends. That was great fun! Linda and I have been friends for decades. We worked at the old Ellisville Veterinary Clinic long ago, and Linda is a fabulous dog trainer. Her granddaughter, Evelyn, now has the horse bug. That makes me feel pretty old (which I am). Today was her first lesson at Beth’s stable.

There were some wonderful birds around today. As usual, I missed some of the best pictures, but the tanager in particular provided good ones. Perhaps I did get a little carried away with the birds today!

The horses were able to go out early, with no bugs around, and a brief glimpse of sunshine. I took pictures from ground level for fun.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Every morning, I look forward to your blog. It never disappoints. Love the birds. Love hearing about what’s going on at BFF.
Thanks for sharing.
Peace
Nice to see Jaime and Linda.
Nice ones here! Love the symmetrical balance of the young Beth fence-sitting shot and glad to relearn the brown headed cowbird, male grosbeak and tanager (close relative of red cardinals I learned). Always some to learn with these, thanks!
