Despite a few showers of rain, it was a pleasant day. Jane and I rode this morning, and I rode by myself later. Two horses ridden, I am feeling more myself, and feeling very fortunate. Bart slept in, so he was second string today.
I spent a few minutes snapping pictures late this afternoon.
The horses are happy when it is overcast, since the flies are not as active…

Churchill was right, “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.” (or a woman).
Harry brought the dogs out for their evening airing after a good day in the studio. Note, no cane, good as new…
And finally, Nancy and Steve’s mule baby has been christened Rainy (for the weather conditions of her birth). She was out and about today. I have seldom seen a cuter foal. The scenery is not too bad, either. Believe it or not, Jazz, the ancient appaloosa companion, has visited here at Bronze Fox Farm! He might be the luckiest horse I have ever met, to have been returned to Montana for retirement, all the way from Tennessee! And now to have such an adorable baby to watch over!

love the little foal, so cute and beautiful mountains in the background. As usual, wonderful photos.
