It has been a horribly hot week, and the rural internet has been impossibly slow, so my blogging has wilted, along with much ambition.
Fans are up, and night turnout is the accepted routine. Horses like routine, so the change from day to night turnout can take a little time, but this sudden heat seems to have made the horses quite happy to adapt.
Unlike many of us, the summer tanager is enjoying the summer weather, it seems.
Flowers are blooming all over the place.
I am having issues with the blog program, so I will finish with yesterday’s unveiling of a sculpture of Denny Reagan, who was president of The Muny Opera. It was a wonderful tribute to Denny, and there was much gratitude to the sculptor, too. A delightful evening.
Be safe, be well. Slava Ukraini! Peace.
Your flowers are spectacular! They are always too short lived for me. The purple is a Larkspur, a favorite. Harry never looked better.
Slava Ukraini! Peace.
Paradise! Your farm is a mini paradise! The wild array of birds and flowers, and gorgeous trees, and horses, and doggies, and kitties, PARADISE!!!! You and Harry certainly share your part in the multifarious adornment!! Denny looks as though he could walk off his stage!
I didn’t know who Denny Reagan was and I didn’t know what most of the wildflowers were called, but enjoyed meetinng all. The Statue of Denny is so alive.! Are those mustard plants in your yellow field what I have in mypasture and need to get eliminated? But how? To spray is the murder the clover.
