After a frosty start, it turned unto a perfect day, warm, sunny, and no wind! Harry’s friend, Steve, stopped by with a present and visited the studio.
I filled the water trough, somewhat hampered by help from Stone.
And then, hooray! Jane came over and we went for a ride. Actually, while we were riding on the ring, Marilyn and a friend rode through. Bruno is already filling Chilly’s shoes, and he looked like a perfect trail horse, with Roy galloping along. I did not think to take pictures. The good camera was back at the barn, anyway.
Jane and Derry Our chestnut Irish horses were perfect
After I took a break for lunch with Harry, Jane and I rode again!
Jane mounts Jane and Oisin Stone is ready Maybe we should race to the top of the hill!
In the barn, Twizzler had a place in the sun.
Marmalade and Licorice are very punctual about dinner.
Time to feed cats!
Stone made sure I would not want to climb onto his back in the stall this evening! He heard there were treats for winning the grooming award…
And so, a glorious December day – much to be grateful for. The news is frightening, but the world is beautiful.
Stay safe, stay well.
Yay you are riding! Cool capture of Derry’s walk. I look at all the deer tracks in your ring and wonder where they are going to when they leave the woods in the evenings? When I lived at Ponca, they would file past my house on their way to the old pear orchard every evening. And back to the forest at dawn.
Peace
Happy to see you back in the saddle again.
