Picking up, though hardly where I left off, that having been more than three weeks ago. No excuses, really, just poor time management. Anyway, Spring has arrived, along with the annoying time change of Daylight Saving. Peepers are singing their frog songs in the woods at night, while birdsong provides an enthusiastic early morning chorus, lasting through the day. Crocuses arrived later than some years, but their appearance is most welcome. Daffodils are bursting forth with great enthusiasm. Birds that augur the change of season have been sighted – though not photographed – red winged blackbirds and an Eastern Wood Pee-Wee. Robin flocks congregate. The cowbirds have not yet arrived, but are expected any day.
Winter sent a brief blast last week, which was most unwelcome, but melted away over the weekend.

We are all ready for warmer days.

The dogs are a great joy, whatever the weather.

On Sunday, Marilyn rode through on Trigger, another indicator of Spring.

Today, Fred came to shoe the horses, which is always a fun day. The glorious weather made it even better.

And so it goes… not much excitement, though we have been very busy. Life at Bronze Fox Farm careens along…

Be kind, be strong, be safe and well. Find some serenity somehow every day. Slava Ukraini! God save America. Peace.
Loved that adorable photo of Skittle! Thanks
How I love all your bird photos! You are a terrific photographer, along with a wonderful writer.
I look forward to all the news of Bronze Fox farm, with all the living creatures that inhabit it: birds, cats, dogs, snakes, turtles, flowers, and all the humans that roam around. Oh, and some horses too!
Thanks for keeping us sane through these troubled times.
This person from Canada (still very much independent) thanks you,
Much love to you and Harry
Catherine
Thanks for the beautiful sky and all the pics of bucolic life on the farm. Harry is looking great. Hope to see you all some time this Spring. Also, I think it’s just lovely how Marilyn named her horse after Willie Nelson’s guitar
What a lovely evening sky. I do envy your bird population although our trees are sometimes filled with red wings now and the air with their calls. No sign yet of flowers but our first weeds have begun to sprout! I like the picture of Skittle.
Yay, splendid to see everyone! And flowers yippeeee.
Sending love

I LOVE Daylight savings. I look forward to it in the spring AND fall. Eddie is so cutely scruffy, and Weedy has a sweet face. I hope to see you soon.
Great pics of Harry and also Jane. So glad we finally had our New Years dinner and time together. Love you both!
I too am a standard time devotee. Love the light earlier. As immediately and early riser.
Wish I could just ride over and say hi. Best way to travel.
Anne,
Glad to see you’re back with the beautiful much needed and appreciated, blog! The photos are amazing and indeed, Harry looks great! I am starting to live vicariously at Bronze Fox farm, with the gorgeous sunsets and the charming inhabitants!
As for the tattered Ukrainian flag, I told
Nancy that I was going to display one as well. She replied that we might as well get flags of Canada, Mexico, Panama, Denmark/Greenland and now Poland. I’m afraid in time it will be every country’s flag but Russia’s!
Slava Ukraini!
Take care,
Joe
Love to you, and all the critters and creatures you so lovingly share! What fun!
