I’m writing a short post with nothing much to say, just to test the “subscribe” function on the blog.
The horses endured a miserable change in the weather today, and there is snow in the forecast. Enough already, as far as I am concerned! Again, I am so grateful to Marianne, who is doing all my work with a much better attitude than I have myself on a regular basis. I am able to do a few small chores, more each day. It’s pretty frustrating to be side lined, but I am so fortunate to be on the mend.
It was a good day for a fire and a visit from friends, fellow artists. Perfect activity for resting and healing. Our brains and souls got some exercise with traveling from art to religion, to death, to inspiration. We are all older now, and our conversations have evolved to reflect our decades of experience, and our being closer to the end than the beginning. The best part is that there is always much laughter on almost every subject.
Dear Anne, I am happy to hear that laughter is happening. You and Harry both have laughter that lights up the dark. Grateful to have the opportunity to read about your adventures. Be well soon.
Oh, Linda, thanks for the kind words. You always give encouragement, which is why you are such a great teacher! Laughter is truly good medicine, and can be hard to come by some days. Garrison Keillor, who got MeToo’d unfairly in my opinion, does blogs that I love to read. Might not be up your alley, I don’t know, but try today’s. It did make me laugh… http://www.garrisonkeillor.com/the-light-bulb-is-out-and-needs-changing/
