Gradually, life is resuming some normalcy. Harry is eating now at the kitchen table. And I am getting better at leaving him to his own devices. This morning, I went to Quest for bloodwork, preparatory to my annual physical later this week. Harry survived just fine. And this evening, when I brought the horses in, I bathed and tidied them all up for the vet visit tomorrow morning. Ordinary life coming back.
Roscoe gave Harry some advice on getting out of bed this morning…
It was a day of relative peace and quiet, very pleasant. On the way to the barn, this afternoon, I took the camera (Jane’s camera). I was greeted by Rosie and Tom Morris. I miss Stockings so much! He was my best “greeter”, and a good pal of a cat. At the barn, I got a shot of Twizzler, the most neurotic Croucher, and in the woods, his sister, Licorice…
Stone was so filthy, he had to come in for the night…
I spent a very long time in the barn, and Harry survived that, as did the horses. Now we are ready for Marilyn’s visit in the morning. Oisin’s white face still isn’t quite clean, but I will tend to that when I wash the inevitable manure stains tomorrow. Stone is so happy to be in the barn with the big boys!
Harry is better every day, in small increments, but definitely improving. Alas, we are not going to try to get to the Art Show on Saturday. It’s just so difficult to get a wheelchair transport van out here, especially on a Saturday evening. We have decided to be sensible and stay put. Soon enough, we will be cleared for action, and there will be other art shows, other horse shows…
Everyone looks happy to see you and it looks like Harry and Roscoe have the house under control. 🙂❤
I love the names you pick for your furry friends! You’ve always been so good at that 🙂
Glad Harry is doing so much better and Spring is around the corner.
Glad things are going well and Harry is on the mend. I love the photos ❤️
