With the pandemic waning, and vaccinated at long last, I was able to get together with my brother, Peter, for lunch today. Our first choice of restaurant had fallen victim to the pandemic and was gone, but once we settled on a second choice, we had a delicious meal and visit.
Grocery shopping followed. Poor Harry had his lunch date cancelled, and then suffered a flat tire. But all turned out more or less well on this rainy, cool Monday.
By the time I returned home, it was time to turn out horses, after trimming them up in preparation for cousin Mary’s arrival tomorrow.
No sunshine, but the fuchsia flowers are beautiful in any light, and the Japanese maple seems lit from within. The mock orange is in full bloom and fragrance. A beautiful day, though not much of a blog entry.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Lovely enough really! Quite bucolic…
So glad you got to visit Peter and the elegant setting for lunch….lots of good memories there. Enjoy when he has sent me some of the old photos of the family…have been putting them into the family tree.
The rhododendrum is gorgeous and has a great spot to thrive. Always loved the house and gardens there.
Say Hello to “cousin Mary” and send pictures of you both. Love Aunt Pat
