It was a beautiful, and very warm day. No bird pictures, alas. I saw some good bird shots, but without the camera today.
The horses were very good. Only one picture, Harry took it, while I was lungeing Bart.
A purple crocus is blooming in the hedge in front of the barn. Many are popping up down near the ring. It is really feeling like Spring now.
Rosie took the preferred cat bed with the beautiful sweater today.
I took the horse trailer in for a tune up. This was the first time it has moved since 2019!! It hauled well, and may not need anything, but at least it will be checked out by competent mechanics. Soon I hope to be using it to go trail riding, or to a horse show again. On the way home from Wentzville after dropping the trailer off, there was sudden slowdown on I-70. A grass fire in the median! Quite a lot of smoke… it was spreading like, well, wildfire. Soon the fire engines were on the way, and I expect it was nothing too exciting.
I did get a few cat pictures, of course.
Tom Morris contemplates the late afternoon possibilities Two marshmallow alpha cats, too soft to fight – Tom Morris and Roscoe Marmalade asks “Dinner, please?” Roscoe returns to the house after a day out at the barn
Harry is relaxing now that his latest sculpture awaits approval on Friday.
In the house, Mistletoe and Weedy snuggle up, while I wander out to the barn for night check.
Awaiting evening hay and goodnight cookies
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Looks like a good day at BFF. Go Spring Go!
Peace
Look at Marmalade’s face! I swear her eye is softer. It must feel great to have accomplished yet another cat rescue! The purple crocus, wow!!
And Harry, ahhh, the look of satisfaction. Looks like a happy place; gold dust at Tom Morris’s feet, auspicious for good and moneyed times!
