Today was Susan’s birthday, which she began by riding here before it got too hot. Stone’s shoes are clacking, and Fred is not coming until Wednesday, so Stone is on the bench until then. We rode the Pearl Brothers on the flat, and had a good school, finishing as the day started to get pretty warm.
After our ride, I ran about a million errands, taking up the rest of the morning. Then, I moved jumps and worked the ring instead of cleaning the house as I had intended to do. Harry worked hard in the studio, which is much more important, and much less sweaty.
This evening, I took a few pictures when I went out to do barn work.

In the barn, the swallows are raising four babies above Oisin’s stall.
Outside the barn, the rabbit is a regular evening sight.
I got too close!
Two more nights of crossing fingers that shoes stay on until Fred arrives…
The pink hibiscus has joined the party, blooming enthusiastically next to its magnificent red neighbor.
I may not blog for a few days because there just isn’t much time with preparing to leave for Texas, and then being on the road. For once, it won’t be a technical issue, just a time issue…
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
I have loved these and good luck in Texas!
