It was a beautiful April day. Harry went to town to do the recycling and some shopping. His copilot, Weedy, likes to stop at Starbucks for a “pup cup”, so that was also on the agenda. Bad news, though. The recycling center was not accepting any plastic! That is our biggest recycling category, so my horror of plastic began to amplify. I called the office, though, and learned that there is a broken piece of equipment. By next week a repair part should arrive, and plastic will be accepted again. So we only need to hold onto the plastic for a while, we do not need to add it to a landfill.
This seems to be a more beautiful Spring than usual. The redbuds and dogwoods often bloom sequentially, but this year they are blooming together, and the woods are gorgeous.
Jane rode over on Derry and we did some jumping to make up for the show we did not attend yesterday. Jane won! Her eyes work for finding the jumps, but they are still not recovered for close work. It could take three months to resolve.
Harry is hard at work in the studio again, with three new projects starting up. He got a new lab coat to protect his clothes from the clay. Now he looks like Dr. Weber, mad scientist, who animates clay.
Weedy had a wonderful adventure and returned smelling quite disgusting. A bath ensued, to Weedy’s horror. I failed to get a picture of him, but I did get pictures of all but one of the eight cats (Rosie missed out).
