The days are lengthening, today was warm, and at last February is finished, the worst February of our life! Welcome March, and with it, Spring Peepers chorusing in the woods. I know, if I spoke frog, I would hear them saying “Hey, honey, over here!” but instead it sounds like they are singing “There is hope, Spring is around the corner! Be joyful!”.
Roscoe administered some early morning therapy…
And soon, Harry was up and moving. We made a big leap forward, Harry was able to sit at the kitchen table, returning to normalcy (sort of)…
Roscoe approved of the idea, and the dogs were thrilled to have Harry available. He usually feeds treats from the table, so this was promising! Alas, there is a new house rule that treats are only given in the kitchen. I don’t want the dogs to be rude to Harry and maybe bump into him or jump on him. So the hopeful stares were in vain (though there were plenty of leftovers forthcoming in the kitchen, and I did explain to the dogs that the treats were from Harry)…

I went off to the grocery store while Harry rested from plenty of morning activity. For lunch, we changed the orientation of the table, so that Harry could sit looking out at the pasture.
Here he is (photo taken from the porch)…
And here is his view…
Warm Spring nap time
The plan was to get Harry outside onto the deck in the wheelchair for some fresh air, but Janis and Bill stopped by for a visit, bringing supper for us, along with delicious fresh scones, so tea and talk prevailed instead. Jane came over, too, so it was a fun afternoon.
Janis wrote down instructions for me…

No sooner were the Collettes on their way, than Marilyn wandered over with Roy and her world famous blackberry cobbler made with local wild blackberries.
Here comes Roy! There goes Roy! Marilyn and Roy visit Harry
Spring is nearby now, and we are another day closer to healing. Stronger every day, and very grateful for all the friends that surround us, even those Spring Peepers, who might just be saying “Get better soon, Harry!”
I miss spring peepers. I think they are saying “all will be well all will be well all will be well”
