I am tired and cranky and need to sleep for an early morning tomorrow. I am first in the order for tomorrow’s Adult Jumper Speed class.
So just a few things about today. We watched Vaulting, which was way cooler than we expected!
I took Bart for a couple of walks and rode him in the middle of the day. It was busy, busy, busy, but lots of fun. I took no Bart pictures!
We went out to a late lunch with the Kirin Farm company, which was fun. We saw many dogs in downtown Omaha, two of which had their pictures taken…
Melanie and Alicia did several sessions in the demo ring and deserve to be be more tired than I am.
Jane did most of the work and kept me on track.
We saw one unusual thing happen in a class – the horse finished up, then shook its head, and the bridle fell off! All was well, but it was a strange sight.
The night culminated in a very exciting Speed Class – the In It To Win It class, which is a faults converted to seconds class. If a rail is knocked down, 4 seconds are added to the time. The winner was Nico Gamboa. Here is a link to his round, which was blazing fast https://youtu.be/7-klfCzTD-w
I hope to be inspired by all the daring rounds I saw tonight, but sleep is of the essence. More tomorrow…
Be safe, be well. Slava Ukraini! Peace.
Wow ! Never seen that angry face on Bart before ! Were you tightening his girth ? Good Luck tomorrow !
Oh, that is not Bart!!! It was just a grumpy horse I snapped a picture of as someone was getting on in the warm up area!
Tally ho and away today!
Slava Ukraini! Peace.
Thanks for the link. My favorite course design with a track through the combination. Here’s hoping you will be the first in the history of the sport to stay in top after being first out of the gate.

WOW! That Gamboa ride was amazing. There were such tight turns in that course, and the horse just sailed over those jumps. You must have definitely been inspired. Have fun!! That is the main thing.
