I love riding lessons, of course, but I do actually like to learn a myriad of things, and this week I have learned some more about my blog. It has been frustrating and expensive (as riding lessons can be), but at last, I feel like I have jumped around the exercise. So, here I am, back at blogging, with a better understanding, I think.
I have added a sign up option, but if you are receiving this blog, you are already signed up. If you do NOT want to be signed up for email notifications of new posts, just send me an email with “unsubscribe”, or “NO!!”, or something. I have salvaged email addresses from the previous sign up with mail chimp, which is now in the dustbin. Apologies that it has basically taken six months to arrive at this point of reconfiguring.
It has been another rainy day, which was perfect weather to venture back across the river for lunch with Anne Weber, the younger. No picture of her, but her two cats were very picturesque, watching a squirrel outside the house.
Here, the horses spent much time sheltering in the shed, though Oisin channelled his Irish side to endure the wet in exchange for grass. There was again some romping when I walked to the barn, enthusiasm at getting in to a dry stall after a damp day.

Harry had some frustration with his current sculpture, but he has solved the problem and today was more satisfying.

It was too wet to ride, but Jane and I wandered down to the ring in misting rain to see just how wet it is. Quite wet!

As we continued our afternoon exercise, we came across some beautiful fungi, and two magnificent slugs.

We made our way back to the house for a nice cup of tea, where I recounted for Jane the fun we had at the Princeton dinner.

The dogs are not at all interested in Princeton. Cedar is still slightly fragrant – a hint of skunk wafts from her, especially with the damp weather. She is too stinky for a picture.

Well, it’s a bit of a ragged blog post, but at least the program is working again, and I have a month of lessons ahead. WordPress technical support is sold in one month packages, so I hope to make the most of it, though problems seem to be solved.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Lovely. Doggie’s happy, with one happy and smelly. Horse’s happy. Anne happy with commuter questions resolved. Harry happy he solved the sculpture question. A good day, yep, a good day.
Thanks Anne.
