Great excitement here this morning, with Kris arriving for lessons. Susan has returned from a trip to Kansas, and Oisin was fresh and ready for action. They were stars together. And although we do not have pictures, Jane and I did not embarrass ourselves, and we all had a blast.
Once we were finished with that fun, the Mule was returned, much to my delight. Jane came over and schooled me on Stone, which was constructive, applying a few of the Kris exercises at an elementary level. It was a good, if hectic, day.
The Pearl Brothers were exhausted by the morning’s workout.
We went over to the show at the NEC to see how things were going, and so that I could buy the Ecogold saddle pad I had ordered in January, 2020. Next week will be the first recognized show for us since that order was placed. It was surreal to see many well remembered faces, with nearly two years elapsed. Familiar, but somehow removed, it felt like I would imagine how waking from a coma might be. I didn’t get any pictures today. It’s all indoors, anyway, so pictures may be hard to get.
Back home, the roofers were delivering shingles for the massive roofing job that will commence in earnest tomorrow.
Those are some brave, strong young men
In the barn, Rosie was a mess, having rolled around in the dust and cobwebs.
In the studio, Harry and his dogs worked hard much of the day.
Mistletoe keeps an eye on Harry, her favorite human Weedy leads the way into the house – end of the workday, time for the couch!
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
