Not much to report from the north bedroom here. I started doxycycline today, and I am feeling a bit better, so maybe it’s indeed tick fever as Nancy from Montana suggested. That would be great, since it wouldn’t be contagious, but it looks like I will have to isolate, regardless.
Here is my view…
Outside the window on the roof this morning, Cora was surprised to see someone in the bedroom window!
Harry ventured out to get a prescription at Walgreen’s, and also went to Dierberg’s to pick up some things. He said there were lots of people not wearing masks. I don’t know if masks matter, I just hope Harry doesn’t get sick.
Nathan and Allison came to mow and weedeat today. I could hear them, but no contact, of course.
And I can hear the horses during the day, clearing their noses in their stalls, which is comforting. As isolation goes, it could be a lot worse than this!
I can also look over the balcony (with a mask on, of course, in case of contagious droplets). Here is the view from above…

I spent most of the day sleeping, but I am quite overcome by the outpouring of good wishes from friends. And gingerbread on the porch from Janis. I’m hoping my appetite will return soon. The good news is that I can still smell and taste!
And finally, here is my second string caretaker and my solace. I hope he stays healthy, too!
Stay safe, stay well, keep washing hands and watch out for ticks!
Roscoe severely resents being referred to as second string. That boy in on the front lines.
I’m with Harry. Roscoe continues to carry the mail, whether for you or Harry. Love your family photos! Thanks for sharing. You guys are in our thoughts daily. That did sound like alot of ticks! Healing thoughts … all will be well all will be well.
Oh, Linda, thank you! I am resting and imagining you must have beautiful lilacs by now. And fewer ticks up north, I believe! Love to you and Ted and Tink and Beka ❤️ Stay well!
Good to see your nest, loved so much, and with all that good care and attention. That was a heck of a lot of ticks! I bet Nancy is right! You are not out of my thoughts, I know you will be well, and soon on top of Bart!
Thanks, Jane! I hope you stay well. Roscoe is making this much less miserable. But I am longing to get back to the horses, and most of all, Harry!
I hope that day 3 is going as well as possible. Good news about still being able to smell and taste! Can you see the strawberries from your window? I hope they remain unscathed. Nice views from above. Take care.
