A quiet day at home was welcome. There is always much to do, and today being dreary, with very bad air quality due to smoke from brushfires, time was spent on desk work. I did get a few pictures, of course, and every day includes some outdoor work with the horses.
The birds are always a joy, but they are less hungry now, and spending more time together in the woods, rather than up here by the house. Avian romance is in the air, so to speak.

Eddy loves the camera. Weedy is not a fan.

Cora and Skittle think the orange cats have been getting too much attention lately.

The horses are enjoying the grass that is beginning to green up, but they are still happy to come into the barn in the evening to rest in pine shavings and munch hay through the night.

The animals ground us and lift our spirits. They are a burden and a privilege. Life is a journey full of frustrations and fun – embrace the contradictions.
Be safe, be well. Be grateful, be kind, be honest. Do the best you can. Slava Ukraini! God save America. Peace…
A nice way to end a good day!
Thank you!

Short and sweet. We are fortunate property is intact and spring is near.
God Save America needs to be the new democratic mantra.
Wonderful horse portraits!
Love the cardinal photo. Love Stone eating hay. I’m so glad it sounds like the storm did no damage to you all. I was gonna say happy spring, but there’s a little snow on the ground In Fulton.
