Jane has returned from England, a day earlier than expected, but I learned of the mixup two days ago, so she is not lost at the airport with nobody to collect her. Luckily all flights were on time, and though Jane has not slept for a while, she looks beautiful. Being with her family definitely agreed with her. Also, having a break from the routine is uplifting. She returned through storms without a hitch, except that they had to wait to attach the gate to the plane until the lightning subsided. Yikes!

It has been a rainy day here, with heavy rains predicted for three days. Plants are happy, and the animals don’t seem to mind the wet too much, though we people find it dreary and oppressive. It’s as much the headlines as the weather getting us down.

Eddy was a big help supervising morning barn chores, and keeping watch over the farm.

There were few morning birds, with the wet weather dampening their enthusiasm.

We had a visit to the lawyer, a perfect chore for a rainy day, updating our wills and healthcare documents. Yuck! Jane found a new lawyer, since our wonderful previous guy has retired, and we got Lori Hootman’s name from Jane. She is delightful and competent, which made the task less burdensome. A couple of ducks in our life are now are in a row. On the way, we stopped to shop and there was a huge mirror, so we took a picture of ourselves.

The dogs were very attentive as Harry unpacked chicken from Whole Foods.

The horses came in early, so that I could pick Jane up at the airport. They did not complain about coming in to a nice, dry barn after a very wet day.

Apple blossoms and white lilacs brighten a dreary day.

Be safe, be well, keep dry. Be kind and stay strong. Be glad of friends, and celebrate their returns in your life. Slava Ukraini! God Save America. Peace…
So happy Jane made it back safe!
I love the picture of you and Harry!
Welcome back, Jane. You look fantastic!
A visit with family is always restorative. Weedy has the best dog collar ever!
It’s good to know that Jane is back. I love it when you are able to catch the birds in flight.
The ever so faithful dogs on point in the kitchen is the best! Welcome home Jane! All her creatures will be glad to see their human. However, looks to me that Jane has the perfect person to care for them while gone. Rain, yes, KY is flooding, and nature seems angry. Who could blame?
wonderful as always to hear the updates. Welcome Home and Hi to Jane. Love the picture of you and Harry; you look great. Happy spring. xoxo
Wonderful pictures Anne. Jane looks great. You can keep sending your blogs everyday. I always look forward to reading them. Thanks.
So good to see Jane back in Missouri once again. But does that mean we don’t get daily blogs anymore? Could Jane go on another vacation soon? Ha ha,just kidding! Was the chicken from Whole Foods for weedy and Eddy? They certainly thought so! I hope they weren’t disappointed.
Computer issues made me struggle for access but your pictures made it worth the effort. Glad Jane avoided travel troubles!
