Today Harry turned 78. He seems little changed since I first saw him riding in the hunt field and thought “Who is THAT cute guy!?”. Then I found out he was as nice as he was cute. And THEN I got lucky enough to marry him (that is a long, convoluted story from the first view)!
Anyway, he has made it to 78 after a rather rough time at 77. We are hoping this next year will be smoother sailing.
Harry did not want to celebrate his birthday, so I took him at his word, and it was a normal day. We will have a big party when he turns 80, he says.
Marmalade is not happy and I am hoping he will come around when he gets hungry enough. At present, he is on a hunger strike, but I get the feeling he is less angry. He thinks, if I can see less of him, I might not notice him. He’s almost right! He is very hard to see as that catloo is the same color as his coat!
Harry went off to town to shop for groceries.
Meanwhile, I took some pictures while I pulled weeds.
Once Harry returned, I fixed birthday lunch, and Jane (who had popped over with a present earlier) came over to help celebrate. And she took a picture of Harry and me.

Roscoe was a big help in the garden, supervising, as always.
And, finally, Nancy and Steve have returned from the wilderness (literally) and here is the Montana mule baby, Rainy, who is growing fast! Photos by Nancy Stevens.

Stay safe, stay well, and be happy whenever you can, not just on birthdays!
Hey, that’s what I said too when I first met him!
Happy Birthday Harry so glad to see you are doing so well. The picture of the two of you, priceless.
Happy Birthday fellow Gemini. I know you, Harry, are not beholden to astrological givings, however, look at us! We are multi-talented, handsome and gorgeous, our intelligence can stand with the best, and we’re engaging and witty. Along with our humility and charm, who could ask for anything better? We’re artists, equestrians, you a thespian, me a lit buff, than a couple of fun loving Geminis? Enjoy that silk pie, the good neighbor and friend that brought it, your young fiery wife, your dogs who clearly love you, and the rest of the big wide world we love! We Geminis!
Every person in the hunt field wanted Harry. Did you guys see the recent version of Untacked yet? That famous and gorgeous Swedish showjumper is reminiscent of Harry, but not quite as beautiful. I already wrote Happy Birthday somewhere. Have many MORE.
