Apparently, Punxsutawny Phil saw his shadow today, so we are in for six more weeks of winter. We had a fairly miserable January, and February is off to a very bad start. Mercury has been in retrograde (which I don’t actually understand), and that ends tomorrow. So let’s hope the stars align for something better ahead. The weather forecast is for matters to get much worse.
It’s too much! Life has been careening along this past few days, and rather than catch up, I will post some bird pictures from today. I didn’t take the camera outside today because the weather was all I could contend with. The birds had a worse day than I did, I think.
Mistletoe had a tough time in the snow today, as did we all.
Be safe, be well. Peace.
Oh Mistletoe, hang in there!
Spring will come
Peace
Bird lessons continue! Nuthatchs are soooo cute. They look insouciant compared to the contentious Blue Jays. And the photo just below the Robins, what is the tree or bush that always offers that Japanese feel? The Cardinals in the photo, four of them, on those wiggly branches make for an exquisite photo. The photo’s style, lightness, and balance duplicates a 17th c. Japanese bird painting. Mistletoe, I feel for you.
Missed you Anne.
Many thanks for the beautiful pictures of nature in this difficult snowstorm. I appreciate and respect how you and Harry are one with nature. We are all in this together. Be well and stay warm.
Little known and often undisclosed fact about Groundhog Day. If Phil sees his shadow we are damned with six more weeks of winter. If Phil doesn’t see his shadow we will be blessed with spring in six weeks.
🤣😆
