Nathaniel returned today do a big project – removing two big trees that were threatening the driveway. I dread the cutting down of trees, but I did recognize the danger of having them fall on a car. It’s going to look very different, but once the wood is all removed, I will plant some evergreens to replace them. A rearrangement. Things change.
The horses were not bothered in the least by the sound of the chainsaw. They also ignore the frequent sounds of nearby rifles as firearms deer season continues through this weekend.
Jane and I had a grand time riding, with perfect weather and light winds for a change after two days of gales. Oisin was a bit fresh, but he is always delightful, despite his bad boy tendencies. Jane and Derry found and jumped every jump well.
I took pictures of the bird feeder in front of the house while I was working outside. I continue to be obsessed with “in flight” shots. Titmouse and chickadee today!
Harry did his exercises and worked hard in the studio.
Harry on the bike Weedy was worn out from watching Harry work Nettie watches Harry until he goes to sleep
Harry insisted on taking a picture of me, so I sat with Nettie, who immediately started growling ferociously. The picture does not do justice to her fierce, gurgling growls. Harry thinks Nettie believes I enjoy the growling, because I laugh so much. So he blames me for teaching her to growl!
Stay safe, stay well, beware of growling dogs.
Oh Anne, what a lovely picture of you! Way to go Harry 💙
I seem to understand Weedy completely. I too am sometimes worn out by Harry’s endless work and workouts. How does he do it? Anne, you better get that thing I keep trying to get you to incorporate into your life. For nothing else but to keep up with Harry! The bird shots get better and better! Love them, love birds, they always seem so jubilant. However, they do exhaust me also, LOL.
